In a country and religion with millions of false gods, one more won’t hurt right? WRONG!

This baby girl is being worshipped in India – because she was born with three hands.

The infant was born on November 2 to mother Radhika Sahu with a small additional arm and hand growing out of her chest.

She has quickly become the talk of her village in the Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh, India – with some even worshipping the tot as a God.

Her concerned family reported the extra hand – a one-in-a-million anomaly – to their local health centre, and their daughter was examined and found to be perfectly healthy. Source

There are conflicting numbers as to how many gods there are in Hinduism and it is really comical to read about when you research it. This article at the Communist/Socialist Huffington Post by a Monk explains how there are “ 33 Million Gods of Hinduism“

whosoever told you that in Hinduism there are 330 million Gods is an absolute fool, someone who doesn’t even have basic information, let alone understanding of any religious faith. Least of all the person doesn’t understanding meaning of Sanskrit words.

It is said that only the Sanatan Dharma stream in Hinduism (one which believes in Sagun bhakti, that is worshipping Gods with form) follows the practice of idol worship. Second, the phrase talking about the “types of Gods” says there are 33 koti eesh, which in religious terminology means 33 types of Gods. I repeat it is in religious terminology koti means types or variants, if that is more clear.

It is in mathematics we have terms like ekam (one), dasham (ten) shatakam (century of 100) and finally we have the singular term koti for a million. But in mathematics only (then starting in lipis or scripts like Brahmi, Pali, Prakrit and finally Sanskrit (which in turn gave birth to most languages written in Devnagari and allied scripts) the word koti is used for calculation, while in religious terminology, the Sanskrit word koti means types or variants. So Sanskrit like many other Indian languages (about which only I know, as there may be others), has many words or terms which have dual meanings. The less informed, especially with regard to Sanskrit, mainly the Commie/pseudo secular liberal phonies, who have limited knowledge of Sanskrit have gone on to present only one meaning of koti which they say is million, and so for them koti eesh means a million and 33 koti eesh means 33 million Gods. The various forms of Shiva like Bhairav, Dattatreya, linga are kotis, likewise, Vishnu is decorated primarily in 24 forms, but his actual decorations number around 150 (alankarams in Tamil/other South Indian languages) which are 150 koti, so one variant is one koti and 33 koti is not 33 million but 33 variants or types. Observing other schools, Hinduism can also be atheistic, deistic, or even nihilistic. With such diversity included under the title “Hindu,” one may wonder what makes them “Hindu” in the first place? About the only real issue is whether or not a belief system recognizes the Vedas as sacred. If it does, then it is Hindu. If not, then it is not Hindu.

The Vedas are more than theology books. They contain a rich and colorful “theo-mythology,” that is, a religious mythology which deliberately interweaves myth, theology, and history to achieve a story-form religious root. This “theo-mythology” is so deeply rooted in India’s history and culture that to reject the Vedas is viewed as opposing India. Therefore, a belief system is rejected by Hinduism if it does not embrace Indian culture to some extent. If the system accepts Indian culture and its theo-mythical history, then it can be embraced as “Hindu” even if its theology is theistic, nihilistic, or atheistic. This openness to contradiction can be a headache for Westerners who seek logical consistency and rational defensibility in their religious views. But, to be fair, Christians are no more logical when they claim belief in Yahweh yet live life as practical atheists, denying Christ with their lives. For the Hindu the conflict is genuine logical contradiction. For the Christian, the conflict is more likely simple hypocrisy.

Hinduism views mankind as divine. Because Brahma is everything, Hinduism asserts that everyone is divine. Atman, or self, is one with Brahman. All of reality outside of Brahman is considered mere illusion. The spiritual goal of a Hindu is to become one with Brahma, thus ceasing to exist in its illusory form of “individual self.” This freedom is referred to as “moksha.” Until moksha is achieved, a Hindu believes that he/she will be repeatedly reincarnated in order that he/she may work towards self-realization of the truth (the truth being that only Brahman exists, nothing else). How a person is reincarnated is determined by karma, which is a principle of cause and effect governed by nature’s balance. What one did in the past affects and corresponds with what happens in the future, past and future lives included.

Although this is just a brief synopsis, it is readily seen that Hinduism is in opposition to biblical Christianity on almost every count of its belief system. Christianity has one God who is both personal and knowable (Deuteronomy 6:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6); has one set of Scriptures; teaches that God created the earth and all who live upon it (Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 11:3); believes that man is created in God’s image and lives only once (Genesis 1:27; Hebrews 9:27-28); and teaches that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone (John 3:16; 6:44; 14:6; Acts 4:12). Hinduism as a religious system fails because it fails to recognize Jesus as the uniquely incarnated God-Man and Savior, the one solely sufficient source of salvation for humanity.
